We review all messages. Substantive reports typically receive a reply within a few business days, though response times are not guaranteed. Spam and off-topic messages are not answered.

  • Format requests

    Specify the input format and the output format you need. Include a brief description of your use case.

  • Privacy questions

    Do not include highly sensitive personal information in your message. Refer to the specific policy page you are asking about.

  • Copyright or legal concerns

    Include enough detail for review: the nature of the concern, the specific content or tool involved, and any relevant context.

  • Business inquiries

    Explain the proposal clearly. Include who you represent and what kind of collaboration or arrangement you are proposing.

  • Accessibility issues

    Describe the page, the assistive technology or browser you are using, and what the problem is. Include a URL if possible.

  • Website errors or broken links

    Include the URL of the broken or incorrect page, what you expected to find, and what you encountered instead.

Responsible use

FormatOS is a file conversion tool. Users should only open and convert files they own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to process.

FormatOS should not be used to:

  • Convert copyrighted files without the rights holder's permission
  • Bypass digital rights management or access controls
  • Download, extract, or process content from platforms where it is not permitted
  • Process illegal, harmful, or unauthorized content
  • Violate another website's, platform's, or service's terms or policies

Messages that appear to request support for unauthorized or illegal file processing will not receive a response.

File privacy

Privacy and file handling

Every current FormatOS tool runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your files are processed locally for the requested conversion and are not uploaded to or stored on FormatOS servers. If a future tool ever requires temporary server-side processing, that tool's own page will clearly disclose it before you upload anything. Even so, always verify important files before relying on them for financial, legal, tax, or official use.

This contact form does not request or store file uploads. Do not paste sensitive personal, financial, legal, or medical data into the message field.

Yes. Use the contact form and select "Supported Format Request." Include the input format and output format you need, and any relevant context about your use case.

Should I send private or sensitive files through the contact form?

No. Do not send passwords, financial records, identity documents, private legal files, medical documents, or other highly sensitive information through the contact form.

Can I report a conversion issue?

Yes. Select "File Conversion Issue" and mention the original file type, desired output format, browser and device used, and a brief description of what went wrong.

Can I contact FormatOS for business inquiries?

Yes. Select "Business Inquiry" and include a clear description of your proposal. Vague messages are unlikely to receive a response.

Yes. Select "Website Error / Broken Link" and include the URL of the broken or incorrect page. We review all reports and correct issues where possible.
