Yes. FormatOS processes files on your device at no cost. Any limits you see are processing, file-size, browser, or safety limits — not paid-plan tiers. There is no account or premium option.
PDF documents, images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, HEIC), data files (CSV, TSV, JSON, XML, YAML, XLSX), plain text, Markdown, HTML, and ZIP archives. These are processed directly in your browser. Video and audio are not processed in this browser-based version.
Because only actions relevant to your specific file are shown. A PDF shows PDF tools. An image shows image tools. A CSV shows data-conversion options. This keeps the interface focused and prevents irrelevant or broken actions from appearing.
